PURPOSE The Town of Abingdon, Virginia is requesting proposals from qualified firms for general architectural, general civil engineering, traffic and transportation, and wastewater treatment and sewage collection system services. Firms should include in their proposal the areas, listed below, they wish to be considered. Firms may request specific areas or considered for all based upon their request, experience and qualifications. CONTRACT TIMELINE It is the intention of the Town Staff to present to the selected firms to the Abingdon Town Council for award in December 2024 and have the contract in place beginning January 1, 2025. The Town and the selected firm will use a professional services EJCDC contract with a not-to-exceed fee agreement based on the final negotiations. This agreement shall be for one year from the date of execution, but may be extended for a period of time upon mutual agreement by both parties, not to exceed four (4) additional renewals. The agreement shall remain subject to termination pursuant to the terms of the agreement or non-appropriation of funding by the Town. Any questions received after October 23 may not be answered in fairness to other proposers. This Request for Proposal does not commit the Town to pay any costs incurred by the individuals or firms in the preparation and submission of the proposal. The Town of Abingdon reserves the right to reject any or all proposals at any time without penalty.
