Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fort Valley, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Bid amounts will not be released until the Board of Commissioners has awarded the project to the winning contractor. The proposed work will be funded by a combination of TSPLOST and local funding. The project consists of road regrading, asphalt paving, asphalt overlay on Fullwood Road and Sylvan Dell Road. The total length of roadway is 1.1 miles. In addition, the project includes finish grading, paving, & striping at the new fire station on Norwood Springs Road and patch and sealing at the fire station on HWY 341. All work will be awarded in one (1) contract. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with current GDOT standards and specifications. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, will be required of the successful bidder. Bonds must be written by an acceptable Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed with the Department of the Treasury. Peach County reserves the right to reject all bids, to waive informalities, to re-advertise and/or to award any bid that is in the best interest of Peach County. Fullwood Road (See Appendix 1) Approximately 0.71 Miles of Patching, Asphalt Paving, and Traffic Control on Fullwood Road as shown on attached drawings: a.Install appropriate post mounted Construction Ahead Warning signs in accordance with GDOT Traffic Control Guidelines and the latest edition of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control. b. Remove and replace designated failed areas with 4 inches Recycled Asphalt Concrete Patching, 19 MM, Item 402-1802. c. Install Item 402-3113, Recycled Asphalt Concrete 12.5 mm, Surface Course, 220# per sq. yd.,including driveways and paved intersections. Intersections to be paved to the radii points, driveways paved back to ensure a smooth transition. d. Install temporary striping per GDOT specifications. Install permanent striping after the cure period. e. Soil testing per requirements specified in Section 02300 Earthwork. 2. Sylvan Dell Road (See Appendix 2) Approximately 0.45 Miles of Single Surface Treatment Crack Relief Layer, Asphalt Paving, and Traffic Control on Sylvan Dell Road Beginning at HWY 49 and Extending to the railroad track at Old Macon Road: a. Install appropriate post mounted Construction Ahead Warning signs in accordance with GDOT Traffic Control Guidelines and the latest edition of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control. b. Place Single Bitum Surf Treat, Stn Size 7, Grp 1 or 2, Crack Relief Layer, Item 424-5007. c. Install Item 402-3108, Recycled Asphalt Concrete 9.5, Surface Course, 165# per sq. yd.,including driveways and paved intersections. Intersections to be paved to the radii points, driveways paved back to ensure a smooth transition.
