The Fort Valley Utility Commission will accept sealed bids for the construction and installation to upgrade 4 regulator stations to ensure the inlet valves are accessible in emergency conditions. The four stations will be at Atlanta Sand, Cactus Hill, Golf Course and Harris Drive. All potential bidders must hold a current Georgia Utility Contractor's License of proper classification and in full force and effect, in compliance with Act. O.C.G.A. 43-14. Contractor must be a qualified natural gas contractor under the laws of the State of Georgia and must comply with any Federal, State, and Municipal guidelines and regulations. Plans, specifications, and contract documents are available for review at the Fort Valley Utility Commission, Gas Department, during regular business hours. The successful Contractor will be determined in January 2025 and will be expected to start construction by February 2025. Default of Bidder shall occur upon the failure of Bidder to deliver within the time required by the Bidding Documents (or any extension thereof agreed to in writing by Owner) the executed Agreement required by the Bidding Documents and any performance and payment bonds required by the Bidding Documents. BIDDER agrees to commence work under this Agreement on or before a date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" of the OWNER and to fully complete the work within 90 consecutive calendar days from the "Notice to Proceed" date. Bidder furthermore agrees that, in the case of a failure on his part to execute the Contract Agreement and Bonds within seven days after receipt of conformed contract documents for execution, the Bid Bond accompanying his bid and the monies payable thereon shall be paid into the funds of the OWNER as liquidated damages for such failures. The Fort Valley Utility Commission reserves the right to accept none, all or any part of the bid and to waive informalities or technicalities or to re-advertise as appropriate.
