All questions regarding the bid/contract documents, including but not limited to a request for interpretation of such documents, must be sent by e-mail addressed to Tom Watkins, Business Manager at twatkins@newburyportma.gov, and to be given consideration must be received by 12:00 pm on October 18, 2024 Scope of Work for the Atkinson Common Rock Tower Exterior Renovations Project includes but is not limited to: installing a perimeter fence as needed to secure the site, power washing the entire tower exterior, grinding and repointing the stone joints from the first level to the tower top using a colored grout approved by the City, sealing open coping joints at the top of the tower and at window openings with elastomeric sealant, removal and repair of interior concrete spalling as a result of water penetration, removing all debris and disposing properly, cleaning up the site as needed to bring to a restored condition, and any potential add alternates as listed. Atkinson Common Rock Tower Epoxy Coating Project. The bidding and award of this contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L Chapter 30, 39M. Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development and the weekly payroll record submittal requirements under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 through 27D inclusive. Contract award is subject to the approval of the Mayor. The City reserves the right to accept or reject, in whole or in part, any or all bids or take whatever other action may be deemed necessary to be in the best interest of the City.
