The City of Rock Island is requesting bids from contractors for a rehabilitation project at the Sunset Marina Office. All questions shall be directed to the Building Maintenance Supervisor at 309-732-2250. The bidder shall submit a project plan using the design standards below that is in compliance with all applicable The City of Rock Island, EPA, and State of Illinois regulations as well as all local building and zoning codes. The plan must include a clear project timeline and budget with line item costs. The contractor shall act as the general contractor for the project using subcontractors as required. Subcontractors that will be required should be clearly identified in the project plan. The section of roofing above the Marina office will be replaced with new material. Looking for a 25- year minimum on the outer roofing material Remove existing roof copings, save to be reused. Remove all existing roofing material down to the sub straight. Remove roof flashing. Prep the deck. Clean surface, inspect deck for damage, and fill in any voids and replace decking where necessary. Install new EPDM 60. Installer must be certified by the manufactures of the product. Manufactures installation instructions must be followed. Replace the downspouts above the office so that water is re-routed and not running above the roof. Address the edge around the perimeter of the office so water runs of the roof properly. All material must be removed upon completion. Permit is required before work begins. The contractor shall have 30 days to complete the work from the date of contract signing. Change work orders over the course of the project are strongly discouraged.
