Renovation of an educational facility in San Jose, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
**As of November 15, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Fremont Union High School District ("District") is seeking proposals from qualified persons, firms, partnerships, corporations, associations, or professional organizations to provide constructability review, value engineering, master scheduling, cost estimating, budgeting, and construction services for the development and construction for the (1) Lynbrook High School Buildings 200 and 400 Classroom Modernizations and (2) Lynbrook High School Buildings 500 and 600 Classroom Modernizations Projects (each a "Project" and, together, the "Projects"), in accordance with the lease-leaseback structure set forth in Education Code section 17406 et seq. The District intends to award both Projects to one Respondent under separate lease-leaseback contracts. All Respondents must have already been prequalified by the District in accordance with Public Contract Code, 20111.6. First tier electrical, mechanical, and plumbing subcontractors are required by Public Contract Code, 20111.6 and must be prequalified prior to subcontractor bids being submitted. Contractors of all tiers must be currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code, 1725.5. ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2024. ***Bid Event: Oral, telegraphic, facsimile, telephone or email RFQ/P Packets will not be accepted. RFQ/P Packets received after this date and time will not be accepted and returned unopened. The Lynbrook High School Phase 2 will modernize two existing buildings, building 200 and building 400. Building 200 is an existing 10,692 SQFT single story classroom building. Building 400 is an existing 7,524 SQFT single story classroom building with new staff and student restrooms. The scope of work includes selective demolition of interior walls and openings, selective demolition of exterior walls to accommodate new openings required due to spatial reconfiguration of classrooms, and new window openings. The site improvements for this project will include new sitework.
