Demolition, site work and renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Morristown, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

This project consists of between base bid and alternate bid(s), alterations and renovation to an existing restroom building located off Lidgerwood Parkway at Lidgerwood Park in Morristown New Jersey, and consists of, in part, the following: demolition and removal of interior partitions, toilet partitions, water closets, urinals and lavatories, restroom accessories, exterior and interior doors and frames, ceiling rework, garage door and associated opening devices, concrete floor infill, fire stopping, smoke stopping, and sealing, window and door removals and new window and door replacements, replace lighting, power and life safety devices, new exhaust fans, new plumbing and installation of water closets, urinals and lavatories along with other site work. The Town of Morristown reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The successful bidder will be required to execute the contract and file a bond within (10) ten days after award of the project and submit a Business Entity Disclosure Certification and any other necessary documentation required under Chapter 2, Section 2-87, Public Contracting Reform Ordinance (Town of Morristown's Local Pay to Play Ordinance). Bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified check, bid bond or cashier's check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, (bid bond amount not to exceed $20,000.00), and made payable to the order of the Town of Morristown, together with a "Consent of Surety" from a surety company authorized to do business in New Jersey stating that it will provide the contractor with a bond in such amount as requested in the advertisement or specifications. The right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in any bid is reserved if such an action is not detrimental to the interest of the Town of Morristown. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127, which pertains to "nondiscrimination" and "affirmative action" and P.L. 1977, c. 33, which refers to the statement of corporation ownership. Attention is called to the fact that the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex, or national origin and to the greatest extent possible, opportunity for training and employment shall be given to lower-income residents of the project area and that, when possible, contracts shall be awarded to business concerns owned by area residents. Funding for this project is provided in part by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to the County of Morris. Therefore, the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis Bacon wage rates and reporting will apply. Attention is called to the fact that the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their age, race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, marital status, sex, affectional or sexual orientation, and to the greatest extent possible, opportunities for training and employment shall be given to lower-income residents of the project area and that, when possible, contracts shall be awarded to business concerns owned by area residents.
