Potter Park Zoo and Ingham County are soliciting proposals from experienced and qualified vendors to provide professional architectural and engineering services for renovations to Feline and Primate House in strict compliance with AZA standards and expectations. Any explanation desired by a Proposer regarding the meaning or interpretation of this RFP and attachments must be requested only to the Ingham County Purchasing Department, at questions@ingham.org. The deadline for submitting final questions is no later than 3:00 PM on November 8, 2024. If an addendum is required, it will be issued after this date. The scope of the design services includes all design and construction efforts required for the completion of the Project in its entirety, including but not limited to the scope of services outlined in this RFP, and the general elements summarized below. They shall not be interpreted to be inclusive of all services or obligations of the Design Team, and are meant to augment and clarify the services required in the agreement and in keeping with the Standard of Care expected of professional Design Services. No other design service provider shall be retained by the Owner for the Work, and as such the Designer shall be responsible for all work required to complete the Project as intended. The Consulting Firm shall be responsible for all Design, testing of existing materials and needed assessments, and construction services, complying with the contract documents and the Agreement, other than for those responsibilities specifically excluded or noted as to be provided by others. All consulting costs to complete the project must be provided in the Financial Proposal. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
