No definite date for the rebid.** Bidder Shall Submit With the Bid an Electronic Bid Bond or Electronic Copy of a Bid Bond in the Amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Total Price Bid, but Not in Excess of $20,000.00, Payable Unconditionally to the Bergen County Utilities Authority, Along With a Certificate (Consent of Surety) With Power of Attorney for the Full Amount of the Bid Price From a Surety Company Authorized to Do Business in the State of New Jersey and Said Surety Will Furnish a Consolidated Performance and Payment Bond in Amounts of 100% of the Successful Bidder's Contract. If the Bidder is to Submit a Certified Check, or Cashier's Check It Must Be Received at the Division of Purchasing No Later Than the Time Stated Above at Foot of Mehrhof Road, P.o. Box 9 Little Ferry, Nj 07643 - all Other Documents Must Be Submitted Electronically Conditional Bonds Shall Be Rejected Any questions or disagreements arising as to the true intent of this Specification or the Drawings or the kind and quality of work required thereby shall be decided by the Architect, whose interpretations thereof shall be final, conclusive, and binding on all parties. All Bid Addenda Will Be Issued on the Website online. Therefore, All Interested Respondents Must Check the Website From Now Through Bid Opening Within the Timeframes Listed in N.j.s.a. 40a:11-23(C). It is the Sole Responsibility of the Respondent to Be Knowledgeable of All Addenda Related to This Procurement. Bcua's Little Ferry Water Pollution Control Facilities Hvac Work/chiller Replacement 1.installation of the New Six (6) Section Modular Chiller That Has Been Pre- Purchased by the Owner in Accordance With the Construction Documents and All Manufacturer Requirements, 2. Installation of a New Refrigerant Detection and Exhaust System Specific for the Existing and New Refrigerants in Use at the Facility. 3. The Refurbishment of the Two (2) Existing Cooling Tower Cells by a Manufacturer Approved Restoration Company. 4. All Related and Ancillary Work Including Piping, Duct Work, Supports, Controls, Etc. As Required for a Complete and Fully Operational Plant. Bidders Shall Comply With the Requirements of N.j.s.a 10:5-31 and N.j.a.c. 17-27 Et Seq. Bidders Shall Comply With N.j.s.a. 34:11-56.37 and 34:11-56.38 of the ''Prevailing Wage Act'' This Contract or Subcontract is Expected to Be Funded in Part With Funds From the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the New Jersey Infrastructure Bank. Neither the State of New Jersey, the New Jersey Infrastructure Bank Nor Any of Their Departments, Agencies or Employees is, or Will Be, a Party to This Contract or Subcontract or Any Lower Tier Contract or Subcontract. This Contract or Subcontract is Subject to the Provisions of N.j.a.c. 7:22-3, 4, 5, 9 and 10 [n.j.a.c.7:22-3.17(D)]. The Contractor Shall Pay the Higher of the State or Federal Wage Rates. The Contractor (Subcontractor) Shall Comply With the Provisions of N.j.s.a. 10:5-2.1 Et Seq., N.j.s.a. 58:11b-26, N.j.a.c. 17:27 Et Seq. And N.j.a.c. 7:22-3.17(a)24, and 4.17(a)24 and for the Participation of Small Business Enterprises Owned and Controlled by Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Individuals (Sed). Successful Bidder Shall Also Comply With Sed Utilization Plan Prepared by the Owner. [n.j.a.c. 7:22-3.17(F)] in Accordance With the Provisions of N.j.s.a. 58:11b-26, N.j.a.c. 7:22-3.17(a)24 and 4:17(a)24, the Contractor (Subcontractor) Shall Comply With All the Provisions of N.j.a.c. 7:22-9. Bidders Shall Be Required to Comply With (a) the Conditions of Employment and Requirements of Federal Prevailing Wage Rates to Be Paid Under the Contract; (B) Section 3 of the Hud Act of 1968; (C) Prohibition of Segregated Facilities; (D) Section 109; and (E) E.o. 11246 the Bidder Shall Submit an Experience Modification Rating (Emr) for the Two Previous Years With Their Bid. The Emr Shall Be on Letterhead From the Bidder's Insurance Agent or From the Bidder's Insurance Advisory Organization (Ncci or State Specific). The Authority Will Be Conducting a Non-mandatory Pre-proposal Pre-bid Meeting and Site Visit for Prospective Bidders on October 15, 2024, Individuals Visiting the Site Must Comply With Bcua's Safety Standards and Bring Their Own Personal Protection Equipment (''ppe'') Which Must Include, at a Minimum, Hardhats, Safety Vest, Safety Boots, and Gloves. The Bcua Will Not Provide Ppe. Sealed Bids for This Project Are Being Solicited Through a Fair and Open Process in Accordance With N.j.s.a. 19:44a-20.4 Et Seq.
