Scope of Work: Construction of approx. 21,500 linear feet of 6-inch polyethylene gas main including two horizontal direction drills and connection to an existing gas main as shown on the plans. Bidder instructions, including pre-bid meeting and contractor questionnaire details, are provided in the bid documents. As part of the bidding process, attendance at the Prebid meeting is considered mandatory. E-mail the Contract Administrator for a copy of the bid packet. The contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and transportation necessary to perform the construction called for under this contract in a timely, safe, and professional manner. Bids will be accepted only from qualified General Contractors licensed prior to the bid opening by the State of Alabama. A cashier's check or a bid bond payable to the City of Huntsville, Alabama, d/b/a/ Huntsville Utilities for an amount not less than 5% of the contractor's bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, will be required to accompany each bid. A performance bond, a payment bond, a maintenance bond, and insurance will be required prior to execution of the contract. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of ninety (90) days. The right to reject any and all bids is reserved.
