Reference Number 0000365081 The goal of the project is to remove segments of asphalt that are showing signs of age and decay and replace the asphalt in accordance with City standards and technical specifications. Asphalt mill and overlay work will be done for the City of Aspen Engineering Department, Parks Department, and Aspen Pitkin County Housing Authority. Asphalt street improvements to improve structural stability and provide increased longevity on various street segments. Full width roto-milling will remove 1.5-inches of asphalt thickness, sub-base repair work may be completed where necessary, and a new 2.0- inch asphalt mat will be placed to bring the street to grade. The exact street segments for the Engineering Department are TBD pending the results of an Asphalt Assessment. Sections should be identified before the closure of bid questions. A second pre-bid meeting is to take place once engineering segments have been provided via addendum to provide bidders with the opportunity for any additional project related questions or clarifications.
