Reference Number 0000367681 This RFP is open to all qualified General Contractors with the necessary experience and capabilities to perform construction services as described in this document. To allow the City of Aspen (Owner) to fully understand your firm or team's intended approach to the project, carefully prepare a response based on the information required in this Request for Proposal. The project will include: Construction Services for the Parks and Open Space Office Renovation Project that will have work performed at 585 Cemetery Lane in Aspen, Colorado. Question Deadline 12/04/2024 at 11:59 PM MT Questions are submitted online Yes Bonding Requirements - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % Prebid Conference: The purpose of the conference is to discuss the City's expectations, the scope of work, to perform a walkthrough of the existing conditions, and to answer questions. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is essential to convey the bidder's questions. An addendum will be issued following this meeting to formalize any City responses to proposer questions. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals or accept what is, in its judgment, the Proposal which is in the City's best interest. The City further reserves the right, in the best interests of the City, to accept a late submittal or to waive any technical defects or irregularities in any and all Proposals submitted. The Parks and Open Space Offices need renovation and consolidation of staff offices, break rooms, and workspaces into a single location at the parks site. Currently separated between two buildings, the administrative functions will be consolidated into a single office building via an adaptive reuse & renovation project. Currently, the main administrative buildings comprise two building types: office functions reside in a traditional wood-framed construction wing and the existing maintenance storage areas occupy a preengineered metal building, comprising of two main bay areas. For this project, the wood-framed wing will be renovated providing a new program layout and the central metal building area will be renovated for administrative office functions. The northernmost wing of the main building will remain as a mechanics bay. A bicycle storage area will be added outside of the main administrative building. The main building will require insulation upgrades and fenestration replacement to meet current building and City of Aspen energy performance requirements, while the exterior materials that will be replaced shall match existing to align with the approved land use application.
