All Work must conform to the requirements of the Georgia EPD General Permit GAR 100001 and requirements of the applicable Georgia DOT utility encroachment permit(s). Division I will consist of furnishing and installing approximately 6,000 LF of 24-inch DIP water main; 540 LF of 36- inch steel casing (open cut and bored), 3 butterfly valves (24-inch), 1 gate valve (16-inch), 4 fire hydrants, 3 air release assemblies in manholes, 17,400 lbs. of D.I. fittings, and related minor appurtenances. Division II will consist of furnishing and installing approximately 5,650 LF of 24-inch DIP water main; 310 LF of 36-inch steel casing (open cut and bored), 3 butterfly valves (24-inch), 1 gate valve (16-inch), 5 fire hydrants, 3 air release assemblies in manholes, 14,550 lbs. of D.I. fittings, and related minor appurtenances. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, or other security authorized by law, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total base bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. The right is reserved by the Owner to delay the award of the Contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of the bids, during which time the bids shall remain open and not subject to withdrawal. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all technicalities or informalities. If an award is made, the award for the Division will be made separately to the responsible and responsive Bidder whose Bid is lowest for the Division.
