Renovation of a water / sewer project in Rockport, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Water Treatment Facility DAF Skimmer Replacement Project Purchase & Delivery of a specific piece of equipment for the DAF System. The surface scum skimmer shall be a WesTech Model Z-3900 Zickert Shark Surface Sludge Skimmer or an approved equal. Summary of Work The DAF Water Treatment Facility is one of two surface water treatment plants in the Rockport water system. The surface scum skimming portion of the DAF Water Treatment Unit is in need of replacement. The Town of Rockport intends to replace the Surface Scum Skimming Mechanism portion of the DAF Water Treatment Unit. This equipment shall be a WesTech Model Z-3900, Zickert Shark Surface Sludge Skimmer, or approved equal and shall be a direct bolt in replacement to the existing surface scum skimmer. If the WesTech Model Z-3900, Zickert Shark Surface Sludge Skimmer is not being proposed as a direct replacement, the skimmer being proposed must meet all physical, dimensional, and operational specifications of the existing skimmer. The bidder is required to field verify that the proposed skimmer will be a direct bolt in replacement and confirm that it will meet all the tolerances included in the specifications and drawing.
