Remodeling of a municipal facility in Lantana, Florida. Working plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility.
**As of November 6, 2024, project is cancelled. no definite date for the rebid.** The Town of Manalapan is soliciting bids from interested and qualified bidders to remodel and reroof the Towns water plant office building. Proposals shall be prepared, addressed and submitted in compliance with the instructions set forth in the bid document instructions. The Town of Manalapan reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities, if deemed necessary in the Towns sole and absolute discretion. Overview: The Town of Manalapan is seeking a bids from qualified and experienced contractors to remodel and reroof the Water Plant Office Building at an all-inclusive lump sum cost. Scope of Services - including cost for all labor, materials and permitting. Interior Work: Drywall: Hang ceiling and new office walls, finish with level 3 orange peel paint ready. drywall, cornbread, mud, texture. Framing: Frame out the 2 new offices. Each office will be roughly 10' wide with separate entrances for each and a walkway leading into the back office. Kitchen Remodel: New cabinets, counters, hinges, hardware. Electrical: Update electrical panel with new location from demo of current kitchen wall. install recess lighting throughout/ fixtures in the kitchen/bathroom and offices, remove old security key card wiring. Replace Thermostat: remove existing and install new thermostat. Demo: Demo bathroom for renovation including removal and capping of all pipes for an open concept, remove kitchen, counters cabinet appliances, doors for haul. Flooring: install approximately 1200 sq ft of flooring. Windows: Cut the exterior, prep and install 2 new windows for the offices, one in the rear and one on the front. Front Door: Remove and discard old doors. Replace with metal front entry doors and new hardware, Bathroom Renovation: Update bathroom, vanity, mirror, toilet, fixtures. Vanity to match existing size. Trash Haul: Remove all trash from the unit including from demo and construction debris. Paint: Repaint unit color to be agreed beforehand, ceiling, trim, and walls. Baseboard: 1x6 baseboard throughout the office. Plumbing: Cap off front picket in walkway, cap off all pipes from the bathroom demo. Kitchen pipes will remain where they are (unless we need to move them). Storage: Build out storage for documents in the back room. Shelving surrounding the walls with 2 aisles of shelves down the middle while maintaining a walking path throughout. AC Ducts: Add 1 vent into each new office. Ducts will be extended off existing duct work. E Calcs and all values will be calculated and submitted for permit approval to make sure current units can produce the power needed. Exterior Work: Roof: Roof over existing roof per code. 30' x 45' 3/12 pitch flat roof, install GAF tri ply cap sheet throughout.
