These wells are located at two (2) different locations; one in Powhatan, VA and the other in Rockingham, VA. BMP061517 The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) operates a network of State Observation Wells (SOWs) and needs to hydraulically fracture two (2) recently drilled state observation wells to improve well yields. Site 1 is located at the Powhatan Wildlife Management Area in Powhatan County, and Site 2 is located at the Rockingham County Schools Bus Garage in Harrisonburg (Fig.1). Current yield for each well is estimated at approximately 1/4 gallon/minute. Completion of this project will require temporary placement of a packer below existing 6" steel casing in a suitable interval of 6" wellbore, and the forced introduction of sanitized potable water under injection pressures that may exceed 2,000 psi.
