SHEBOYGAN COUNTY REQUEST FOR BIDS Construction of Storage Facility Sheboygan County is soliciting bids for the construction of a new Storage Building to be constructed in the Sheboygan Falls Industrial Park on county-owned property. This project is being partially funded through ARPA (The American Rescue Plan Act). Bidders are required to furnish bid security in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check in an amount of not less than Five Percent (5%) of the total base bid amount. The awarded contractor will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the project bid amount. Prevailing Wage Rates are not a requirement for this project. The project will include provision and erection of a new multipurpose metal storage building to be used as a collection and temporary storage facility for the Sheboygan County Household Hazardous Was Waste collection program. Additional uses will support the Sheboygan County annual tree sale initiative along with usage of the building to store county vehicles and equipment. Certain elements of the project will be provided and performed by the owner which will require coordination with the awarded contractor. Attention of bidders is also called to the fact that the successful bidder must insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, sex, religion or national origin. Federal requirements for equal opportunity (Executive Order 11246, Segregated Facilities section 3 and section 109 and the conditions of employment and wage rates to be paid under the contract. The awarded Contractor will be required to furnish a certificate of insurance naming the County of Sheboygan as additionally insured prior to the start of any work related to the project. All proposals received become the property of Sheboygan County and must remain in effect not less than sixty (60) days beyond the proposal submission deadline. Proposals submitted may be withdrawn up and until the proposal deadline. This project is being funded through the American Rescue Plan Act. Sheboygan County reserves the right to reject any proposals received, cancel this solicitation, waive any informality associated with the proposal process and award the contract deemed to be in the best interest of Sheboygan County.
