Replacement Project, Floodplain Phase Dates of publication in the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce, October 22 and 29, 2024 The Floodplain Phase of the Lower Big Quilcene Bridge Replacement Project includes; 1) 10/29(432738) realignment of 4,591 feet of the Lower Big Quilcene River back into its historic channel location, 2) the construction of 2.262 feet of new river side channels, 3) the regrading and restoration of 800 feet of the existing Big Quilcene River channel, 4) the construction of 684 feet of a new south setback levee. 5) the removal of 765 feet of the existing Rodgers Street, 6) the removal of 928 feet of the existing Fremont Avenue, 7) the removal of the existing. south levee from Rodgers Street west, 8) the removal of 1.861 feet of the existing north levee, 9) the removal of concrete walls. and the regrading of the south shoreline of the new river channel at Station 0+00, 10) the construction of a new road and bridge to access the Bonneville Power towers, and 11) the construction of scour pads around existing BPA power poles Estimated Project Minority and Women's Business Enterprises (MWBE) are encouraged to participate in the bidding as prime contractors, subcontractors, or suppliers.
