This request for proposals does not commit Magna to award a contract or to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of proposals. Magna reserves the right to extend the due date for proposals, to accept or reject any or all proposals received because of this request, or to cancel this request in part or in its entirety. Magna retains the authority to overlook any irregularities, informalities, or technicalities in the proposals if it serves its best interests. Contract allocation will be contingent upon the most qualified, responsibly priced submission among the contenders. Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Program. The Greater Salt Lake Municipal Services District (MSD) and Magna are seeking qualified firms to assist in the renovation and redevelopment of the existing Webster Center building. The selected firm will conduct a feasibility study for either renovating the existing building or demolishing and replacing it with a similar or smaller structure, as well as exploring modifications to the parking lot, including surface, lighting, and landscaping improvements. The project has three potential scopes: 1. Limited Modification of the existing Webster Center to enhance existing amenities and serviceability and ensure compliance with modern standards. 2. Major Renovation to the existing building and site to enhance its appearance, functionality and serviceability and ensure compliance with modern standards. 3. Demolition of the existing building and construction, and/or adaptive reuse of a similar or smaller structure, meeting updated requirements and optimizing space use. 2. Architectural Services The architectural firm selected for the Project will be able to provide the following services: A. Minimal Services Sought: 1. Develop a preliminary Program of Spaces/Functions. 2. Develop a conceptual floor plan and conceptual site plan. 3. Provide an initial funding analysis and identify potential funding sources and outcomes. 4. Present Feasibility Updates to City Council (at least twice). 5. Provide a Rough Cost Estimate of the proposed findings and conceptual design. B. Minimal Services Deliverables Sought: 1. Conceptual floor plan and conceptual site plan. 2. City Council Presentations (at least twice). 3. Funding Strategy Summary. 4. Conceptual Cost Estimate. The anticipated date for the decision is November 15, 2024. Applicants will be notified of the decision via email. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
