Completed plans call for the demolition of a clubhouse / community center; for the construction of a two-story above grade clubhouse / community center; and for asbestos abatement for a clubhouse / community center.

Lake Wilderness Community Clubhouse The Work generally consists of furnishing all materials, equip-ment, tools, labor, and other work or items incidental thereto for: The improvements will include the demolition of the existing golf clubhouse, and the construction of a new 2-story clubhouse in the same location. The work includes the following: Site work, including erosion control, soil cut and fill; revi sions and expansion of the exist-ing parking lot and driveway; new utility connections; and new land-scaping and grading. Demolition and removal of the existing 2-story structure, including abatement of hazardous materials per included Asbestos Survey. Construction of a new, 2-story building, including all new foun-dations, structure, mechanical/electrical/plumbing/fire protec-tion systems. Other work necessary to complete the Work as speci fied and shown in the Contract Documents There are no pre-bid meetings scheduled. Bidders are invited to tour the public areas of the grounds and buildings during regular business hours. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of such bid proposal, including sales tax. Failure to submit the bid bond may result in rejection of your bid. Should the successful bid-der fail to enter into this contract and furnish satisfactory payment and performance bonds within the time stated in the Contract Documents, the bid proposal deposit may be forfeited to the City of Maple Valley, at the city's sole discretion. The City reserves its right to reject any and all bids on any or all schedules or alternates or to waive any informalities in the bidding and shall determine, in its sole discretion, the most respon- sive, satisfactory and respon- sible bidder. Note: The award of the contract will not occur until the City has reviewed all bids for responsiveness and responsibil- ity determinations, and the City Council has authorized awarding the contract.
