Project location: West 3rd Street from Hwy 47 to South Olive Street, Yamhill County, Oregon South Olive Street from West 3rd Street to West Main Street, Yamhill County, Oregon Bidders must be qualified in accordance with the applicable parts of ORS 279C to enter into a contract with the City. No bid shall be considered unless the bidder is registered with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board. The Bidder is required to submit a First Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Form, as described by ORS 279C.370, either with the bid or in a separate envelope within two (2) hours of said bid closing time. The City must reject a bid if the bidder fails to submit the disclosure form by the 4:00 PM deadline. City is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for the West 3rd Street and South Olive Street Water Main Replacement Main. The general Work for the basis of award includes furnishing and installing approximately 1300 feet of 8 inch ductile iron pipe water line, associated fittings, valves, fire hydrants, water services, tie-ins to existing water mains, thrust restraints, testing and disinfection, permanent surface restoration, traffic control, erosion control and other work as shown on the contract drawings. The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment and subcontractors to complete the project as required in the contract documents Construction is to be substantially completed by April 30, 2025 with punch list and final completion by May 31, 2025. Substantial completion will be achieved once the waterline construction is complete and placed into service. Final completion will be achieved once all improvements are in place, surface restoration is complete, and the City has approved the Work. Sealed Bids for the construction of the West 3rd Street and South Olive Street Water Main Replacement Main The engineer's estimate for construction is $490,000. Bids must be submitted on the prescribed forms and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond executed in favor of the City of Yamhill in an amount not less than ten (10) percent of the amount bid (Bid Schedules). The successful bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional bond(s) for the faithful performance of the contract as prescribed in the Contract Documents. Bids may be held by the City of Yamhill for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from date bids are due for the purpose of reviewing bid documents and investigating qualifications of Bidders prior to awarding Contract. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities, and to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the city. The City may reject any bid not in compliance with the public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject for good cause any or all bids upon a finding of the agency that it is in the public interest to do so.
