The Town of Westford is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide repair services to strip the lead paint off the exterior of the Cameron Senior Center located at 20 Pleasant Street, Westford, MA. The Town of Westford reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or to accept that which is deemed in the best interest of the town. Scope of Work The following scope of work is noted as the minimum requirements as follows: o All work will be performed in accordance with CFR 1926.62 Lead in Construction Standard. o All workers will be trained and medically cleared for respirator use, and medically monitored for blood lead levels in accordance with CFR 1926.62 Lead Construction Standard. o Only licensed and trained personnel are allowed in the work area and only with the contractor's prior authorization. o All debris will be disposed of in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations. Container may be on site. o For areas that will be primed, primer color will not match existing color, but will be tinted to similar shade. o Components to be chemically hand stripped off site will take 7-8 weeks. o Front and Left Elevation: Seal off exterior work area per regulations. Scrape loose and flaking lead paint from exterior of building. Leave ready for priming and repainting by others. o Right Elevation: Seal off exterior work area per regulations. Scrape loose and flaking lead paint from exterior of building. Leave ready for priming and repainting by others. Note, this elevation will need to be during non-operating days/hours. o Copula: Seal off exterior work area per regulations. Scrape loose and flaking lead paint from exterior of building. Leave ready for priming and repainting by others. o All Elevations: Provide lift and equipment to access work areas for the duration of the project. Town agrees to provide parking for equipment for the duration of the project at no cost to contractor. The Town shall not be responsible for proposals arriving late for any reason.
