The Town of West Newbury is seeking submissions from qualified bidders to purchase and install a new 62kWh natural gas powered generator. The scope of work required, without limiting the generality thereof, includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, devices and transportation necessary or incidental to furnish, install, put in operation and field test one (1) natural gas driven generator unit of the size and rating as specified herein and associated devices such as Automatic Transfer Switch, Circuit Breakers, Wiring, etc., at the Annex Building located behind the 1910 Building at 381 Main Street, West Newbury, MA 01985. The scope of work shall include, but not necessarily be limited to the following: 1. Furnish and install a new 62kW, 3 phase, 120/208V natural gas driven engine generator set including electrical accessories, circuit breaker, battery unit and controls, etc. 2. Furnish and install one (1) new 200A 120/208V automatic transfer switch. 3. Furnish and install new wiring from the generator set to transfer switch and from transfer switch to the panel. 4. Perform an initial start-up and tests of the completed installation, per manufacturer's guidelines. Provide one (1) hour training for the staff at a mutually agreed upon time in the operation and the maintenance of the engine generator set. 5. Provide any other equipment, device or labor to make the system operable or required per code, although not specifically mentioned in these specifications. Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development and the weekly payroll record submittal requirements under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 through 27D inclusive. The Town reserves the right to reject any proposal that is not in the best interest of the Town or cancel this IFB in its entirety if the best interest for the Town is adhered to. a 65KW generator is OK
