Update:Maynard Road Water Mains - Design and Construction Project is included in City of Framingham Fiscal Year 2026-2030 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Maynard Road water main is 6 unlined cast-iron pipe installed in 1888. This water main is well past its design life and is undersized by todays standards. Cast iron pipe is also prone to decreased water quality. The hydrants and valves on Maynard Road are aged and in need of replacement. The Maynard Road water main is one of the oldest water mains remaining in the Citys distribution system. The Maynard Road Water Improvements are proposed to be completed along with the Maynard Road Sewer Improvements as both utilities are in need of replacement. As of October 29, 2024, This project is included in the city's 2025-2034 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
