William J. Bryan Parkway Conduit Run Question Deadline 11/06/2024 at 10:00 AM CT In order to ensure a fair and public bid process, all questions related to this Request for Bid shall be addressed in writing, via the Brazos Valley Online Bidding System It is the intent of this bid to award a contract to provide conduit run on William J. Bryan Parkway for the City of Bryan, Texas in accordance with the conditions and specifications contained herein. Scope of Work Boring and installation of approximately 235 feet of 4-inch polyvinylchloride (PVC) or rigid metal (ferrous) conduit (RMC) with accompanying continuous bare or green insulated copper wire per National Electric Code from the existing traffic signal pull box on the southeast corner of the intersection of WJB Pkwy and Main St to a point approximately 45 feet east of the railroad tracks within city right-of-way. Permitting for installation of the conduit beneath Union Pacific right-of-way will be required, but neither right-of-entry permitting nor flagmen will be required for this work. Please see Attachment A for additional information. Contractor shall mark the end of the bore on the east side of the tracks (shown by magenta rectangle in Attachment A) and backfill bore pit. Contractor shall sawcut and remove an area of sidewalk sufficient to terminate conduit/conductor inside of pull box. Concrete repair shall be by others. Bidders Qualifications The Contractor shall own and operate a facility primarily in the business of boring and installation of conduit. Contractor must provide a local or toll-free phone number for customer service. Contractor must be equipped with all equipment, staffed with personnel properly trained in all phases of boring and installation services, and capable of providing the services specified herein. Quality of Service Quality of service is a major consideration in the award of this contract. The City retains the option to terminate the contract with written notice due to Contractor's noncompliance with any term condition or requirement of this contract.
