The work consists of the removal of one (1) water valve and the installation of one (1) metering vault and appurtenant structures. The project is located in Snow Shoe Township, Centre County, PA. Any questions during the bidding process shall be submitted to the Engineer's Office, Contact Ken Beldin (kbeldin@gdfengineers.com). The deadline for all questions is 12:00 PM on November 1, 2024. Any questions received after this deadline will not be answered or addressed. A certified check or bid bond payable to or naming Mountaintop Regional Water Authority as obligee in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount must be deposited with the proposal. Bidders must submit with their bids the Non-Collusion Affidavit contained in the contract documents. All bonds shall be in the form prescribed in the Contract Documents and shall be executed by sureties as are named in the current list of "Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies" as published in Circular 570 (amended) by the Audit Staff, Bureau of Government Financial Operations, U.S. Treasury Department. Bids shall remain open for a period of 30 days from the date of Bid opening unless award is delayed by a required approval from a governmental agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which event the Bids shall remain open for a period of 120 days from the date of Bid opening. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided. Bidding documents including plans, specifications and addenda must be obtained directly from the Engineer for a bid to be considered. The Mountaintop Regional Water Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality and to award the contract as may be deemed by the Authority to be in their best interest.
