As of July 28, 2025, an architect has been selected and. This project is in the schematic design phase and design should be completed in January 2027. A Construction Manager at Risk has also been selected, but a general contractor has not. Construction will begin February 2027. The City of St. Augustine is soliciting Letters of Interest from qualified Architectural and Engineering firms toperform and participate in a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) delivery method from pre-design, design,permit and construction of a minimum modern three (3) bay fire station located on Anastasia Island. The Cityhas selected a site for the fire station and included a conceptual plan in the solicitation. The firm is expected tobe knowledgeable in the CMAR delivery method and have a good record of completing projects utilizing thismethod. The City of St. Augustine reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all respondents, to waive anyinformality in or to reject any or all of Letters of Interest if deemed to be in its best interest. The City alsoreserves the right to award a contract on such material(s) as the City deems will best serve its interests.
