The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting proposals for a turnkey EPS Foam Densifier system for the North Kent Transfer Station located at 2908 Ten Mile Rd. Rockford, MI 49341. Proposals are solicited from vendors of industrial EPS Foam Densifier systems who have the capability of supplying and installing the needed foam densifier and other equipment modifications needed to provide a fully functional integrated system with the capability of handling 100-150 pounds of foam an hour. Kent County will provide the power to the unit based on the specs of the selected vendor. Unit must have pre-breaker and power unit mounted to the densifier. Inquiries Deadline Date & Time (local) 11/6/2024, 2 PM. Any and all communication regarding this Solicitation shall be on the Kent County Purchasing Division Inquiry Blog via electronically page or during pre-proposal meetings. Kent County reserves the right to determine the response format or not respond, at its sole discretion. A pre-submission conference will not be held for this Solicitation. Each offer over $500,000 must be accompanied by a Bid Bond executed by the Respondent and payable to County of Kent for 5% of the total amount of the offer. Attorneys-in-fact who sign Bid Bonds, Payment Bonds or Performance Bonds must file a certified dated copy of their Power of Attorney. A certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, or negotiable U.S. Government bond (at par value) may be submitted In lieu of a Bid Bond. Personal checks are NOT acceptable. Each contract over $50,000 must be accompanied by a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each payable to the Owner (County of Kent) and each in the amount of 100% of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the funding agency, for the faithful performance of the contract.
