The Town of Roxbury has issued a Request for Proposal for the restoration of 16 windows. It is assumed that lead based paints are present, and workers will comply with all lead-safe work practices and legally dispose of all removed materials. The windows are located at the Town of Roxbury, Hodge Memorial Library, 4 North St., Roxbury, CT 06783. The selected Contractor will need to submit and cover fees for any required permitsto complete the work. The selected Contractor will work with the Selectman's Office, Public Works Employees, and the Fire Marshalls of the Town of Roxbury, Connecticut Building Departments. The contractor shall be responsible to comply with all applicable laws and regulations and coordination with all officials. The Substantial Completion Date for the Project must be coordinated with the First Selectman with consideration given to the winter heating season. The Town intends to award the Contract on or around December 6, 2024 and to issue a notice to proceed shortly thereafter. This opportunity has been publicly advertised through the Request to Submit Proposals attached as Exhibit F. The Project will be awarded to the Contractor, determined and selected by the town in the manner described in Section 7 of these Instructions. The town reserves the right to amend or withdraw this Request for Proposals (RFP) for any reason (including, but not limited to, the failure of the Town to approve the Project by vote at referendum or the lack of funding for the Project), to accept or reject any or all Proposals, to waive any informalities or non-material deficiencies in any Proposal submission, to award or not award a contract in connection with this RFP, to negotiate with one or more Contractors as permitted by the Town's purchasing policies and applicable law, and to award a contract to the Contractor as deemed by the Town to be in the best interest of the Town.
