Renovation of a water / sewer project in Missoula, Montana. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Solids Handling Facilities at the RRF were identified as requiring major upgrades in the prior Facilities Plan. These facilities will be further assessed in the current Facilities Plan and different options will be considered. The likely outcome of the analysis is to replace the City's existing centrifuge and add a new centrifuge, which is more effective at dewatering the biosolids for composting as compare to the existing volute press. This large project would be funded with a State Revolving Fund loan, which has not been obtained yet. This project is included in the City's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of April 9, 2025, further information regarding construction and completion timelines has not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
