Renovation of a swimming pool in Powell, Wyoming. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.

Leisure Pool Resurfacing & Repainting Leisure Pool Resurfacing at Powell Aquatic Center This project shall start on March 17, 2025 with completion date to be submitted in the Bidsheet by Contractor. This project includes removal and disposal of liner, felt liner and termination covers, sandblasting to get down to concrete, repairing, priming, and either repaint or plaster pool vessel, gutter system, and area up to pool deck. Project shall be done in accordance with the following specifications listed for either painting or plastering: Painting Specifications 1. Removal and disposal of PVC liner, felt liner and termination covers. 2. Sandblast concrete coating on walls and floors 3. Make any necessary repairs to surface as required including filling of termination cover screw holes and gutter. 4. Remove existing expansion joint from walls, floors, gutters, across top of island, and install new. 5. Prep surfaces to be painted including acid wash and pressure wash rinse. 6. Prime entire surface including walls, floors, gutters, area up to pool deck, and beach entry. 7. Paint using epoxy pool grade paint as per manufactures specifications. Color of pool, gutter system, beach entry and area up to deck shall be white. a. A coarse aggregate shall be added to the paint to be used on the floor for the beach entry and water depth from 0' to 2'6". b. Lazy river floor and steps shall have Sharkgrip or a similar material for use in swimming pools added to paint to make the floor nonslip. 8. Tape and paint using epoxy pool grade paint: two stripe lane lines with crosses on walls, ladder recessed steps, edge of steps, and dividing line at 1', 2' and 3' depths. a. Lane lines shall be a continuous line 10 to 12 inches wide, and shall end 6 feet 7 inches from the end wall. The last 10 to 12 inches of the line shall be 3 feet 4 inches wide forming a 'T'. Lane lines shall be black in color. b. The center of each painted lane shall be indicated on the end wall by a line 10 to 12 inches wide extending from the water line to the bottom of the pool. 12 inches from the water line shall be perpendicular line that is 10 to 12 inches tall by 3 feet 4 inches wide forming a '+'. Color shall be black c. Recessed ladder steps shall be black in color d. 3" wide stripe at edge of all 5 steps, black in color e. 3" wide stripe along bottom of the pool signifying 1' depth line shall be green, 3" wide stripe along bottom of pool signifying 2' depth line shall be yellow division of shallow and deep end, red in color. 9. 2" red and black tiles shall be installed along the top of the wall around the jetted bench area and top of wall under railing. Black tiles shall be installed along the edges with the red tiles installed in the middle. Plastering Specifications 1. Removal and disposal of PVC liner, felt liner and termination covers. 2. Sandblast pool vessel to remove felt and loose, hollow or deteriorated sub-surface materials in order to insure best possible mechanical bond. 3. Cut and remove existing concrete at least 2" away from inlets, floor drains, and other fixtures to achieve a flush finish with the new surface. 4. Place contrasting color highlight tiles to demark the edges for all steps, benches and recessed ladder steps. 5. Install 2 racing lane and 4 wall targets. Racing lanes shall be 10 to 12 inches wide and shall end 6 feet 7 inches from the end wall. The last 10 to 12 inches of line shall be 3 feet 4 inches wide forming a 'T'. Wall targets shall be 10 to 12 inches wide extending from the water line to the bottom of the pool. 12 inches from the water line shall be perpendicular line that is 10 to 12 inches tall and 3 feet 4 inches wide forming a '+'. Lane lines shall be black Daltile Keystone nonskid tiles. 6. Install 3 depth transition lines along bottom of pool out of Daltile Keyston nonskid tile. 1ft depth line shall be green, 2ft depth line shall be yellow, and 3 ft depth line shall be red. 7. Remove existing expansion joint from walls, floors, gutters, across top of island and install new. Joints should be boarder with white Daltile Keystone nonskid tile and caulking to be used is Laticrete Latasil. 8. Supply and install all SGM Diamond Brite finish or similar. 9. Install all new drain covers and fittings. 10.All labor, materials and any clean-up associated with the re-surfacing work, and a 5-year warranty. 11.A final walkthrough shall include inspection of the pool areas for debris and damage found at the job site, including concrete chipped or damaged from the dumpster placement, and loading or unloading of materials 12.The new pool surface shall be fully cured to manufacturer's specifications prior to refilling the pool. The contractor shall notify the City when the pool can be refilled up to a level necessary and chemically balanced. Chemicals and cure process is up to the owners responsibility. The City of Powell reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informality in any bid received. The City of Powell reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities or informalities and to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City. All bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond, payable without conditions to the City of Powell, in the amount of five (5) percent of the amount of bid. The bid security will be retained by the City of Powell as liquidated damages should the successful bidder refuse or fail to enter into contract agreement within ten (10) days from the date of "Notice of Award". The CONTRACTOR shall resurface and ________ the leisure pool as set forth and described in the bid specifications, and in accordance with the specifications attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by this reference. If said project is not completed by completion date as specified in Bid Sheet by CONTRACTOR, the CONTRACTOR shall pay to CITY, as liquidated damages, and not as a penalty the sum of $50.00 per day for each and every day the CONTRACTOR shall be in default, unless CITY grants an extension to the delivery date. CONTRACTOR shall not be liable for damages because of fire, flood, strikes, riots, acts of God, or other CONTRACTOR delays, or any circumstances or other causes beyond CONTRACTOR'S control.
