Reference Number 0000281782 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/11/22 04:00:00 PM CST The current Town of Neepawa collection process involves curbside cart collection for solid waste and recycling on a bi-weekly basis, with front street cart collection and back lane collection. The Town of Neepawa request for proposals to provide curbside collection services for the following: Residential & Commercial curbside cart collection of solid waste and recycling to approximately 1600 locations every two (2) weeks. Residential curbside cart collection of compost to those residents wishing to participate should the Town choose to implement this program. The Town of Neepawa does not require commercial and industrial properties to participate in the Solid Waste & Recycling contract. As a result, some taxpayers may have existing contracts with other providers. These property owners will be provided with the choice to continue on with private collection services OR may choose to become part of the Town of Neepawa Collection contract once successful tender has been chosen. Therefore, numbers provided on Schedule A Schedule of Prices are estimated as close to accurate as possible. Commercial bin pickup for solid waste and recycling on a weekly basis and bi-weekly basis. Commercial properties will be provided pickup with either a four (4) or six (6) cubic yard front load container for both garbage and recycling. All containers must be equipped with proper lids. Industrial bin collection for solid waste and recycling to Hylife Foods Inc. with multiple six (6) cubic yard front load containers. Pickup on a daily or every second day basis. The Contractor will be responsible for the collection of all cart and bin pickups and the hauling and disposal of such materials from all premises within the Town of Neepawa to Evergreen Environmental Technologies Ltd. or the Neepawa Compost Site. The contract shall be for a three (3) year period, commencing on January 1, 2025 and end on December 31, 2027, with the option to extend the contract on a year by year basis by resolution of Council. The contract includes the option to implement a compost waste pickup program during the months of April to October. A detailed listing of locations and number of carts required at each location, or front-load containers, will be provided by the Town of Neepawa to the Contractor no later than December 6, 2024. Front load containers and carts are to be delivered to each property no later than December 31, 2024 along with a Recycling Brochure, Trash Brochure, Collection Calendar and Zoning Map.
