Renovation of an educational facility in Sacramento, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Elk Grove Unified School District ("District") is requesting a Statement of Qualifications/Proposal (SOQ/P) from Contractors holding a Class B license, to perform Lease-Leaseback pre-construction and construction services for the Florin High School, Classroom Upgrades project. The District will not review submittals received after the time and date above. Facsimile (FAX) copies of the SOQ/P will not be accepted. The Administration reserves the right to accept or reject any and all SOQ/P, to negotiate with any and all-responsible firms, and to waive any informality in the process. The District is not responsible for any expenses related to the preparation or presentation of the SOQ/P, +including travel costs. The SOQ/P may be withdrawn at any time prior to the closing date and time for receipt of SOQ/P. In order to control information disseminated regarding this SOQ/P, firms interested in submitting SOQ/P are directed not to make personal contact with members of the Governing Board or District Administration with the exception of the individual, or department staff listed above. This includes unauthorized visits to District educating facilities. In accordance with California Labor Code Section 1770 et seq. payment of the appropriate general prevailing rate of wages for all crafts employed on the public works site is required of the Contractor and all subcontractors. This project has a goal of 3% Disabled Veterans Business Enterprises (DVBE) participation per the State Allocation Board requirements. Compliance with California Education Code Section 45125.1 mandating fingerprinting requirements applies to this project. Responding Contractors must be prequalified by the District by 12/2/24 Questions deadline: 12/3/24 All questions about the meaning or intent of this RFQ/P shall be submitted to Facilities and Planning Department, in writing. The Scope of Work for this RFP shall include, but notlimited to the following Preconstruction and Construction Services: 1. Perform Constructability Reviews through plan development. Particular review and comment in regardsto schedule and budget. 2. Assist District in "Value Engineering" by providing a detailed analysis of all major Projectsystems with an emphasis on possible value engineering possibilities. 3. Prepare preliminary and detailed estimates of project costs. 4. Development of detailed construction critical path projectschedule and campus considerations. 5. Attendmeetings as necessary. After assigning the Responsible Contractor and DSA approval, the following shall occur: 6. Soliciting of bidsfor assembly of a GMP. 7. Presentation of GMP to Board. 8. Administrating Construction of Project. 9. Coordination ofrecord drawings and specifications. 10. Obtaining occupancy permits and coordinating final testing, documentation, and governmental inspections. 11. Preparation of accounting and closeoutreports and occupancy plan reports. 12. Other responsibilities as necessary for the completion of the project.
