Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Greenville, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and road / highway.

The Scope of Work for the Fred Meijer Trail Hub Project - Phase 2 Project includes the removal of the existing Jackson's Landing parking lot, including trees and brush, and constructing an expanded parking lot on the site. Grading, drainage improvements, lighting, landscaping and other miscellaneous work. The major items of the Project will consist of approximately 0.75 acres of clearing; 2194 square yards of HMA surface removal; 640 cubic yards of earth balancing; 817 feet of concrete curb; 1082 tons of aggregate base; 444 tons of HMA surfacing; lighting and landscaping. Lafayette Street Greenville, MI 48838 Or by email at: dhinken@greenvillemi.org Notice of Award: January 14, 2024 Notice to Proceed: January 28, 2024 Tree Removal Completion: March 31, 2025, intermediate date subject to liquidated damages Construction Completion: June 30, 2025, final date subject to liquidated damages The contractor shall complete the work by the dates given in the contract documents, including intermediate work, or extend the date through a written extension of time for reasonable cause. If the work has not reached substantial completion, defined as completion of all pay items, by the contract date, the contractor shall pay the owner liquidated damages in the amount of $800 per calendar day to compensate the owner for lost opportunity of the use of the project. A BID BOND, in the amount of not less than 5% of the bid amount shall be included with the BID. It shall be supplied through a company that is licensed to do business in the State of Michigan on a form that is consistent with the industry standard of practice. The BID BOND shall be payable to the City of Greenville in the event that the BIDDER fails to execute the Contract according to these Project Manual. The CITY OF GREENVILLE reserves the right to accept to reject any or all BIDS for sound, documentable business reasons.
