The Scope of Work for the Fred Meijer Trail Hub Project - Phase 2 Project includes the removal of the existing Jackson's Landing parking lot, including trees and brush, and constructing an expanded parking lot on the site. If the work has not reached substantial completion, defined as completion of all pay items, by the contract date, the contractor shall pay the owner liquidated damages in the amount of $800 per calendar day to compensate the owner for lost opportunity of the use of the project. A BID BOND, in the amount of not less than 5% of the bid amount shall be included with the BID. It shall be supplied through a company that is licensed to do business in the State of Michigan on a form that is consistent with the industry standard of practice. The BID BOND shall be payable to the City of Greenville in the event that the BIDDER fails to execute the Contract according to these Project Manual.
