Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Greenville, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
The Greenville Area Recreation & Community Center is replacing the traditional Edison lighting system in the theater with an LED system. The Greenville Area Community Center in the City of Greenville is requesting proposals to upgrade wiring and lighting in the Greenville Area Community Center Theater. The Lighting Project is split into two phases. Phase One includes rewiring and electrical work. Phase Two includes installing new LED fixtures and related equipment. Because Phase One relies directly on what contractors propose for Phase Two, bids will be accepted for Phase Two and then Phase One. Any quantities, measurements, or equipment stated are estimates only, and each contractor is responsible for assessing bid specifications and theater needs. Failure to assess the bid specifications and obtain your own measurements will not relieve the successful bidder of an obligation to furnish all products and labor necessary to carry out the provisions of the contract and to provide a turnkey product. PHASE TWO BID - FIXTURES, RIGGING, & INSTALLATION Contractor must provide and install LED theater lighting system according to requirements below. They must also coordinate with the electrical contractor selected for Part One to update current theater lighting and electrical as needed. General Requirements: 1. Examine and inspect existing wiring and fixtures. 2. Provide information for what rewiring and electrical work is needed to support LED lighting system to aid GARCC in recruiting a contractor for Phase One. 3. Coordinate with the electrical contractor selected for Phase One to ensure compatibility of projects. 4. Provide all necessary preparation and installation materials. 5. Hang and focus theatrical fixtures according to a customer-approved rep plot. The rep plot/CAD drawings should include all necessary details: where the fixtures will be hung, at what angle, what degree lens tube is in the fixture, addressing, etc. 6. Schedule work with the Director of the Community Center to minimize the amount of time the theater will be unusable. The City will review submitted bids and other relevant information. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any response for any or no reason and to waive any minor irregularity if determined to be in the best interest of the City of Greenville.
