Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Port Aransas, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the addition of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

As of February 6, 2025, an apparent low bidder has been identified. They're awaiting award approval at the next city council meeting. Although a firm timeline has not been confirmed, construction is not expected to start prior to second quarter 2025. The previous solicitation is listed below for reference. Summary Project Description: The Work scheduled to be performed for the renovations of the existing Community Center facility. This includes demolition, site work, railings (handrail and guardrail), temporary security fencing and signs, rough carpentry, roofing, flashing, doors and frames, hardware, windows, painting, floor refinishing, Siding replacement, Weather Barrier, Insulation, Exterior Window Awnings, Ceilings, Soffit, Trellis, Ramp systems, stairs, Piers, Foundation, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. The Bid must be accompanied by a Bid guaranty that shall not be less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. At the option of the Bidder, guaranty may be a certified check, bank draft, negotiable U. S. Government Bonds (at par value) or a Bid Bond in the form attached. Question Deadline 12/12/2024 at 5:00 PM CT No oral interpretation will be made to any Bidder as to the meaning of the Contract Documents or any part thereof. Every request for such an interpretation shall be made in writing to the Architect, via email, to erozypal@edrarchitects.com. Liquidated Damages: The Bidder further agrees to pay as Liquidated Damages the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each calendar day that the work is incomplete after the expiration of the calendar days specified and any extended days allowed by the Owner's Representative in accordance with the Specifications not as a penalty, but as liquidated damages and added expense for supervision and delay in obtaining the use of the work. The Owner reserves the right to consider as unqualified to do the work of general construction any Bidder who does not habitually perform with his own forces the major portions of the work involved in construction of the Improvements embraced in this project. 20% M/WBE participation
