The University is seeking a team that will form a creative partnership with the campus community in an upcoming enterprise-wide Climate Action and Resiliency Planning (CAP) effort. This effort, scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025, will work with the university community to formalize a pathway to meet established GHG emission reduction goals. This effort will incorporate the "University of California's Framework for Incorporating Environmental & Climate Justice into Climate Action" as well as integrating adaptation and resilience considerations. - Integrate the work being done at the enterprise level, including the Davis and Sacramento campuses, as well as outlying satellite facilities - Perform hazard assessment and vulnerability analysis tied to climate - Outline strategies to meet GHG reduction goals - Develop specific, actionable, and financially viable strategies to alleviate impacts and create a more sustainable and equitable future - Build upon the equity considerations outlined within the UC Davis Decarbonization Study - Provide broad and targeted community outreach and engagement - Develop a CAP in alignment with system-wide guidelines The emission reduction work will need to be coordinated with existing programmatic CEQA documents for the Davis and Sacramento campuses. The process to create an enterprise level CAP document will necessitate a process that engages the entire community and addresses organizational needs and location specific circumstances. The contract time will be for 4 years, with the possibility of a 1-year extension. The estimated project cost is not to exceed $1M. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each consultant may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful consultant and its subconsultants will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Professional Services Agreement and to pay prevailing wage at the location of the work if applicable. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
