Phase 3 concludes the Baggage Optimization Program (BOP) allowing for complete baggage flexibility to check in any bag into any ticket counter and be delivered to any airplane. It also accommodates for passenger volume growth and meets TSA safety mandates. This phase will tie-in all the south end systems to centralized screening, including the International Arrivals Facility (IAF), and finalize the sortation and ticket counter connections. Bid Package 2 (Div 02, 05, 07, 09, 22, 23) includes bid items for: Demolition, Beam Strengthening, Structural and Miscellaneous Steel, Cementitious Fireproofing, Firestopping, Drywall, Framing, Rough Carpentry and Insulation, Paints and Coatings, Plumbing and Piping, and HVAC. The anticipated project construction duration is 36 months. The estimated preconstruction services value is three million six hundred thousand Dollars ($3,600,000) excluding sales tax. The estimated MACC is two hundred ninety-one million five hundred thousand Dollars ($291,500,000) excluding sales tax. (Value of this bid package is not yet known.) Pursuant to RCW 39.10.380, Hensel Phelps as the General Contractor / Construction Manager (GC/CM) for the project is requesting Bids from qualified firms for Bid Package 2 of the Baggage Optimization Project - Phase 3 (BOP3) at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Hensel Phelps and the Port of Seattle have determined that there are opportunities for Women & Minority Business Enterprises (WMBE) to participate as prime subcontractor bidders, sub-tier bidders, or suppliers in the project and have established an overall project WMBE aspirational goal of 4%. Successful Bidder will be required to furnish 100% Payment and Performance Bonds for all subcontracts exceeding $100,000. A Bid Bond is required to be submitted with the bid. The Project has a Project Labor Agreement (PLA). Workers' Compensation Waiver of Subrogation will be required of all Subcontractors.
