Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Tracy, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

Location and Description. The International Parkway Bridge is located on International Parkway between I-205 and I-580 and crosses the Delta Mendota Canal. The new bridge consists of two spans. The northbound span is 44 feet wide (2 through lanes and a 12-foot wide Class I bike path) and the southbound span is 48 feet wide (2 through lanes, one left turn lane, and a 6-foot wide raised sidewalk. The new bridge is a new construction to replace an existing 34-foot wide 2-lane bridge. The existing bridge consists of one lane north bound and one lane southbound, with shoulders and no sidewalks. The length of the new bridge span is 151 feet. There is a 2-foot separation between northbound and southbound spans. Work also includes demolition of existing bridge, retaining walls, traffic signal upgrades, and roadway approach improvements. Time for Completion & Liquidated Damages. The planned timeframe for work is between April 2025 and March 2027.Contract time to be five hundred (500) working days. If the Contractor fails to complete the work within the above-specified time limit, the Contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the City in the amount of $5,000 per calendar day. License. This Project requires a valid California contractors license for the following classification(s): Class A, General Engineering Contractor's License. DIR Registration. Federal Funding Requirements. This Project is partially funded by the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) as specified in the contract documents. Contractors shall be responsible for all reporting and other contractual requirements as required by the EDA. Prevailing Wage Requirements. This Project is subject to the prevailing wage requirements, available at City Engineers office or online at Online, applicable to the locality in which the Work is to be performed. The higher of state and federal wage rates will prevail for any trade. Bonds. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Price, and a warranty bond for 10% of the Contract Price, all in compliance with US Treasury Circular 570. Substitution of Securities. Substitution of appropriate securities in lieu of retention amounts from progress payments is permitted under Public Contract Code section 22300. Subcontractor List. A completed Subcontractor List form must be submitted with the Bid Proposal in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Question Deadline 02/03/2025
