The general Scope of Work generally includes removal, disposals, fabrication of, and replacement of the clarifier sediment rake assemblies in Sedimentation Basins No. 1 and No. 2 at John Jones Water Treatment Plant in Tracy, CA (Project Site) at 6649 S. Tracy Blvd, Tracy, CA 95377. The general Scope of Services is for the removal and replacement of flat bars, diagonal flat bars, push and pull rod holders, glides strips and screws, including welding and fabrication of replacement rake assemblies within the confined space of the Sedimentation Basins, utilizing original equipment manufacturer (OEM) replacement components already procured by the CITY, furnishing welding supplies, and supplying additional stainless steel replacement materials if required. Prior to the Notice to Proceed, a Safety Plan will be required including employee training certifications for confined space entry as well as a plan for staging and moving equipment and supplies into and out of the sediment basin. Fabrication and welding of rake components shall be per the original equipment manufacturers plans and installation of the new rake components and rake glide strips. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the maximum Contract Price, and a warranty bond for 10% of the maximum Contract Price All responsive bid packages shall be reviewed and evaluated by the CITY to determine which Bidder best meets the CITY's needs for this Project by demonstrating the competence and professional qualifications necessary for the satisfactory performance of the required services. The criteria by which the CITY shall evaluate bids are set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. The CITY reserves the right to award the bid to a Bidder other than the lowest Bidder if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the CITY. The CITY also reserves the right to reduce the scope of work at any time and to reject any and all bids or waive any irregularities in any bid process
