Van Buren Drive Water Main Replacement (the Project), as more fully described in the Contract Documents prepared by City of Hamilton (Design Professional). The project is located in the Van Buren Heights Subdivision. Replacement of approximately 2,435 LF of 8" ductile iron water main, installation of 8 fire hydrants, reconnection of 47 existing water services to the proposed main with new services and curb boxes, and other appurtenances necessary to complete the project. In general, the improvements on which proposals are requested will be as described below: o 2,435 lineal feet of 8" ductile iron water main, o 8 fire hydrants, o reconnection of 47 existing water services to the proposed mains with new services and curb boxes, o and other appurtenances necessary to complete the project Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid (including all add alternates) or a certified check, cashier's check, or an irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid (including all add alternates), as described in the Instructions to Bidders. This is an Ohio Prevailing Wage project. No Bidder may withdraw its bid within sixty (60) days after the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, to reject any or all bids, and to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine the lowest and best responsible bidder(s). Prevailing Wage Requirement State Substantial Completion Date June 27, 2025 Subject to the right of the Owner to reject any or all bids, the Owner will award contracts to the bidder(s) submitting the lowest and best responsible bid(s).
