The project is expected to be awarded on February 11,2025. The Project includes the following Work. Rehabilitation of various wastewater treatment facility components consisting of the following: replacement of the existing bar screen with a proposed static screen; replacement of the existing anoxic mixer; replacement of the existing clarifier drive unit; replacement of the existing aeration and digester diffuser assemblies; replacement of the existing RAS/WAS splitter box and airlift assembly; replacement of the existing centrifugal blower units with positive displacement blower units incorporating VFDs and DO probe control; installation of a coating system for the interior steel walls and components; various platform, handrailing, and support structure replacements; and associated appurtenances, electrical, and restoration work. Bids are requested for the following Contract: SJRWMD REDI WWTF Package Plant Rehabilitation, SJRWMD Contract No. 39276 The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Mittauer & Associates, Inc., 580-1 Wells Road, Orange Park, Florida 32073, (904) 278-0030. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents also may be examined at the office of the City Manager, City of Hawthorne, 6875 SE 221st Street, Hawthorne, Florida 32640, (352) 481-2432, Monday through Thursday (excluding Holidays). Bid security must be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. A pre-bid conference for the Project will not be held. To be considered qualified, Bidder must be licensed to engage in the business of contracting in the State of Florida by the Construction Industry Licensing Board and must have successfully completed, as prime contractor, a minimum of 3 projects of a similar nature within the past 5 years, each having a minimum contract value of $500,000, with at least one project having a contract value in excess of $750,000.
