The work is generally described as furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools and services and performing all work necessary to provide the Owner with Construction of The Historic Johnson Street Revitalization Questions and/or clarification should be submitted to lmcgruder@cityofhawthorne.net Questions will not be accepted after the date and time indicated in this document. A Bid Bond, in the amount of 5% of the proposed base bid contract amount, shall accompany each bid. The successful bidders security will be retained until the contract has been signed and the bidder has furnished the required Public Construction Bond. The City reserves the right to retain the security of the next bidder until the selected bidder enters into contract or until 90 days after the bid opening, whichever is shorter. All other bid security will be returned as soon as practicable. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any/or all submissions, to accept all or any part of the submission, to waive irregularities and technicalities, and to request resubmission, if it is deemed in the best interest of the City. The City, in its sole discretion, may expand the scope of work to include additional requirements. The City reserves the right to investigate, as it deems necessary, to determine the ability of any firm to perform the work or services requested. The firms upon request shall provide information the City deems necessary in order to make a determination. The City reserves the right to approve or reject staff assigned to the City's contract.
