Owner: Connellsville Housing Authority Project: Greenwood Heights Plumbing Renovations Location: Greenwood Heights, Connellsville, PA 15425 Description of work: The primary objective of this project is to replace all the plumbing fixtures, supply and drain piping in 118 apartments. To achieve this work, the gypsum wallboard will be removed from the walls and the ceiling, and the flooring will be removed from each bathroom. The work will be bid as one project with one prime contract for General Construction. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or bank cashiers check payable to the Connellsville Housing Authority in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. The Connellsville Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening without the consent of the Authority. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or age. In addition, the contract will be under the requirements of Executive Order #11625 relative to new goals and timetables and Section III of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 and where applicable. The Connellsville Housing Authority solicits and encourages Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation. MBEs will be afforded full consideration of their responses and will not be subjected to discrimination. Bidders will be required to comply with the Authoritys MBE Program Goal requirements where applicable.
