Professional Service (PN) (required for design professionals under HRS Chapter 464). In accordance with Section 103D-304, Hawaii Revised Statutes, the County of Maui Department of Environmental Management Solid Waste Division, hereby provides public notice to invite persons engaged in the professional services listed below to submit current statements of qualifications and expressions of interest for the fiscal year 2025 (July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025): Any general questions related to this solicitation shall be directed to Jonn Geer, Civil Engineer III, Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division at Jonn.Geer@co.maui.hi.us. Title of Project: Develop RFP to Operate Permanent Disposal Site (PDS) for the County of Maui Professional Service/Occupation and Class: Civil Engineering Series 0810 listed in the United States Office of Personnel Management's Qualifications Standards Handbook. Description: The County of Maui anticipates the need for professional services that can assist the County's Solid Waste Division personnel with the development of an RFP to solicit contractors to operate the PDS and provide QC services for the operation. These services include, but are not limited to: 1. RFP Development: Assist The County in developing an RFP to operate the PDS at the final location chosen. Assist with developing scoring matrix and minimum criteria. Adjust current landfill operations plan to accommodate additional disposal needs for PDS. Coordinate meetings with County staff, regulatory agencies, and other agencies as needed. 2. Quality Control (QC) Services: Provide support monitoring the chosen contractor's performance and adherence to operations plan. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
