Please be advised that you have been tentatively selected by the Okeechobee Affordable Housing Department to receive Emergency Repair assistance from the SHIP Program. The conditions of this funding will be based on the inspection report and repairs must fall under the SHIP statute guidelines of "emergency". The SHIP program can provide funds up to a maximum of $17,500.00 to assist you with emergency repairs and corrections to code violations that are identified by a Building Inspector. Your Award is contingent on the signing of all contracts by December 1, 2025. If your application information is incorrect or if your information is changing before the completion of repairs, you must inform SHIP staff immediately. If not, you may be found ineligible for SHIP assistance and ultimately responsible for all incurred expenses, this also includes inspection expenses. . Should you change your mind and decide not to participate in this program, please call me immediately so another family can be provided this unique opportunity.
