The City of West Haven's Department of Wastewater Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) is seeking qualified and experienced contractors to provide sewage cleaning services for 15 City Wet Wells located at 13 WPCA Pumping Stations. The purpose of this project is to maintain optimal performance, reduce odor issues, and prevent blockage in the system by removing accumulated debris and sludge from the wet wells. The selected contractors will be responsible for cleaning the wet wells to remove solids, debris, grit, sludge, and any other accumulations that impair the proper function of the pump stations and treatment plant which may include but are not limited to: Cleaning 2 wet wells located at WPCA plant. Transporting and properly disposing of all removed materials in compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations. Providing equipment, materials, and labor necessary for completing the cleaning services. Ensuring minimal disruption to the operation of pump stations and the WPCA plant during the cleaning process. Conducting post-cleaning inspection of each wet well to ensure they are fully cleared and free from debris. Providing a report detailing each cleaning, including before and after photographs, volume of material removed, and any issues or concerns noted.
