Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The undersigned understands that the work shall commence by June 1, 2025. The contractor shall complete all work items north of the building necessary to have the 2025 Iowa State Fair by July 16, 2025. The contractor shall complete all other remaining work items necessary to have the 2026 Iowa State Fair by July 16, 2026. Punch List items shall be complete by November 1, 2026. A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held by the Owner for this project. Any questions regarding the Plans Specifications should be directed to the project Engineer. The project includes the following major work items and related minor work items for development of the Project: (all quantities are approximate) Subgrade Preparation, 6" 2,160 SY Sanitary Sewer, PVC, 6" 55 LF Water Service, PVC, 4" 20 LF Sanitary Manholes 3 EA Pavement PCC, 6" 2,000 SY PCC Curb & Gutter 200 LF Trench Drain 196 LF Diamond Grinding 1,260 SY Pavement Removal 2,000 SY Landscaping 1 LS Sodding, erosion control, and other work items related to items above Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check drawn on an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States, or a certified share draft on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Bid Price, made payable to the Owner, or a bid bond on the form furnished by the Owner for a like amount, which shall be considered as liquidated damages and shall be forfeited to the Iowa State Fair if said proposal or bid is accepted and the bidder fails to execute the contract and file the required Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond as required in the Contract Documents.
