Site work for a water / sewer project in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of the renewal of water mains on Aikins Street, Jarvis Avenue, Charles Street, and Austin Street, all within the City of Winnipeg. The major components of the Work are as follows: (a) Installation of approximately 880m of 150mm-300mm diameter PVC water main pipe by trenchless method; (b) Abandonment of existing water mains as required; (c) Removal/abandonment of existing hydrant assemblies and gate valves as required; (d) Installation of valves and hydrant assemblies; (e) Reconnection or renewal of water service connections; and (f) Restoration of pavement and boulevard areas. The Bidder shall include in their Bid Submission bid security in the form of a digital bid bond, in the amount of at least ten percent (10%). A performance bond of a company registered to conduct the business of a surety in Manitoba, in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Price labour and material payment bond of a company registered to conduct the business of a surety in Manitoba, in an amount equal to fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Price.
