Renovation of a municipal facility in Norwood, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

A certified check or bid bond, with acceptable surety in favor of the Town of Norwood and equal to at least five percent (5%) of the bid, must be submitted with the bid. The successful bidder shall, within ten (10) days of notification of award, furnish the Town a payment bond and performance bond in an amount equal to fifty percent (50%) of the total bid. Bids shall be prepared, considered, and the contract awarded in accordance with all statutes governing such contracts (Chapter 30 39M as amended and all other statutes governing such contracts). Every Bid shall be on forms furnished by the Town. Bids submitted on other forms may be rejected. The award of the contract shall be made by December 31, 2024. An award will not be made to a Contractor who is not properly equipped to undertake and complete the work. The right is reserved to waive any informality and to reject any or all bids in accordance with the provisions of MGL as amended. The Town of Norwood notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, creed, or national origin in consideration for an award. The proposed is located in and along approximately 1,000 feet of the Meadow Brook (from Meadowbrook Road to West Sixth Street). The work to be completed includes, but is not limited to, bank stabilization, clearing of accumulated riprap riffle, removal and disposal of debris, accumulated sediments, vegetation and large woody material, removal, repair, and replacement of existing headwalls and stormwater pipes, and installation of a shallow drain manhole. The work further includes, the installation and maintenance of plant materials, construction of temporary access to the site and removal and restoration of the temporary access. Provide temporary field facilities to include but not be limited to trailer for the Owner's representative, sanitary facilities and potable water for all people employed on the site by the Contractor and the Owner. Provide temporary utilities to construct the project, including power and internet access to the Owner's Representative trailer, provide for a temporary connection to the Town's potable water system with a backflow preventor and meter obtained from the Town water department. The work is located on fee-owned Town property behind single family homes, in some locations where adjacent property owners have encroached their landscaping into the Town parcel. Most access is from Meadowbrook Road, but access to one work location is accomplished by using an easement on a private property on Lawndale Road.
